However, I do not agree with the conclusion that roadway debris caused the failure because I did not observe any object strike the vehicle and no supporting evidence has been provided to me. The vehicle has been inspected by an authorized Mercedes-Benz dealership and the incident has been reported to Mercedes-Benz Customer Assistance.No police report was filed because there was no collision or criminal activity involved. No warning lamps, messages, alerts, or other symptoms appeared before the failure. The sunroof functioned normally prior to the incident. The failure occurred suddenly and without warning while the vehicle was being driven. I am requesting a thorough review of this incident, including an evaluation of whether the sunroof failure may have resulted from a manufacturing defect, thermal stress, or another non-impact-related cause.
