HYUNDAI PALISADE 2023 POWER TRAIN
high
Two simultaenous problems happened: 1) loud clunking/thudding during low-speed turn. 2) Clunking/knocking/rattling noise from suspensions when going through uneven grounds. This both things happened before 20,000 miles. Had AWD coupling and rear differential unit replaced under warranty regarding problem 1). Had rear shocks replaced under warranty regarding problem 2). Found there has bben TSB issued related to 2), for older models, TSB 25-SS-004H but not for this year of models. Those two exact problems started again at about 40,000 miles. Had vehicle checked at 50,500 miles recently. Regarding problem 1), the dearship found issue with AWD coupling, stating faulty parts, drive shaft seal was 1/8" off and materials are fused. Replaced AWE coupling, and ECU program update. After program update, I do not see the power distribution monitor anymore from my dash. The program update should turned it off for some reason that I do not know. I have no clue that AWD module is working normal as I cannot see the power distribution action anymore. Regarding problem 2), they replaced both rear shocks again. The problem went away for now. This vehicle has been only 50,000 miles and had 4 major issues (2 times of two major identical issues) that alongside with many owners' compaints, and seems highly related to one of Technical Service Bulletin that was previously issued for older models. I would like to request investigation on these services.

HYUNDAI PALISADE 2023 UNKNOWN OR OTHER
high
The front sunroof on our 2023 Hyundai Palisade shattered without any impact and caused a huge explosive sound. When we went outside the car to see if there was any rock or debris, there was no sign of any rocks or debris which caused the front sunroof of our car to shatter. The glass from the shattered sunroof could have possibly hurt us seated in the front seat or could have injured our one year old and six year old kids seated in the middle row.

HYUNDAI PALISADE 2023 SEAT BELTS
high
Following a recall repair on the rear seatbelt assembly of a 2023 Hyundai Palisade, a severe safety design defect was discovered. The replacement buckle installed by the dealer lacks proper flexibility and clearance. Consequently, when the second-row seats are folded down, the seat frame directly crushes and structurally damages the rigid plastic buckle, as the component cannot clear its designated protective slot. This issue presents an extreme safety risk. The second-row seatbelt buckle is now cracked, crushed, and structurally compromised, rendering the restraint system unsafe and unusable for rear-seat passengers, including my young children. In the event of a collision, a structurally damaged buckle could fail to hold, leading to severe injury or ejection. There were no warning lamps or symptoms prior to failure; the damage was only discovered after folding the second-row seats down. The failure is 100% reproducible every time the seat is folded due to the geometry and lack of movement in the installed recall component. The vehicle was brought to an authorized dealership service center, where the damaged component was physically present and inspected. While the dealer confirmed the buckle is physically crushed and left the service order open, both the dealership and manufacturer customer support have refused to correct the installation or replace the damaged safety part under warranty, falsely claiming normal wear and tear. The vehicle is available for immediate inspection upon request. This complaint is being filed because a manufacturer safety recall repair directly caused a vital restraint system to self-destruct during normal vehicle operation (folding seats), and the manufacturer is refusing to remedy the compromised safety equipment.

HYUNDAI PALISADE 2023 FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE: ADAPTIVE CRUISE CONTROL
low
The safety sensors mounted on the front of the car seem to disable frequetnly. I belive it is the bumper sensors. I read it is a known issue that they disable when it's snowing/raining/mud. I cleaned them off and took a 3 hour drive in clear weather, dry roads. they would disable and then come back on intermittently through the drive.. drive started in day time and ended in the evening. When they are disabled the cruise control will not work and then the car just starts to slowly slow down on the the highway. On the drive back, it was daytime, roads were clear, no inclement weather and it did the same the whole way back. periodally disable and then come back on.

HYUNDAI PALISADE 2023 SEAT BELTS
low
[XXX] old child pulled the seat belt out farther than necessary, creating slack. The seatbelt got twisted and it won't retract into the trim. We tried tugging, trying to unfold the ripple at the trim and We tried folding the belt into a triangle, pushing it back in to re-engage the pulls but it did not work. we now have no seatbelt for the 2nd row passenger side. The belt is extended and will not retract. INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6)
