The contact owns a 2024 Jeep Compass. The contact stated that after parking the vehicle in the garage the night, the following morning the contact entered the garage and discovered that the sunroof had shatter. A dealer was not contacted. The vehicle was not taken to the dealer to be repaired. The dealer declined to repair the vehicle under warranty. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 16,000.

The vehicle caught on fire while sitting in a parking lot. This vehicle had just over 13,000 miles, serviced by jeep dealer, and health reports did not surface any problems. The fire impacted other vehicles around it.

I was involved in an auto accident on May 18, 2026. I was hit by a person driving a Honda Accord on the side of my vehicle. The impact made all of the passenger side airbags deploy, but only the driver’s side steering wheel airbag and knee airbag deployed on the driver’s side of my vehicle. Also, the seatbelt did not lock, so I was forced into the driver’s door.

While on the open road, no vehicles or obstructions ahead or behind, the jeep suddenly and momentarily jolted. Causing a similar reaction to what it feels like to have a minor collision, a sudden application of brakes, or perhaps a similar feeling hitting something small at highway speeds.

I am writing to request immediate assistance with our Jeep, which has become a serious safety hazard for our family. We purchased the jeep less than 2 years ago and over the past three months it has repeatedly failed to start or has stalled unexpectedly, leaving us stranded on multiple occasions. Despite taking the vehicle to dealership and other service centers four times, no one has been able to diagnose or repair the issue. The vehicle often starts normally for technicians after being towed, only to fail again once we have it back. As a registered nurse, I have already missed work due to these breakdowns and am at risk of jeopardizing my career. We have also been forced to miss important family events and cancel vacation plans. The financial burden has been devastating. We have spent a substantial amount of money on repeated towing, diagnostics, and repairs, leaving us struggling to cover basic household bills. For the safety of our children and our family, we urgently request that you repurchase or replace this vehicle under your responsibilities as a dealership.
