On XXX I picked up my vehicle from Sames Bastrop Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram ([XXX]) after a six-week repair visit (XXX). The dealer's paperwork states two open NHTSA recalls were completed on this visit: 26V-141 (liftgate hinge cover) and 26V-262 (instrument panel cluster software). The same day, when I started the vehicle, the instrument panel cluster did not illuminate. While driving in my neighborhood at low speed, the vehicle lost acceleration, the brakes became unresponsive for a period, and a warning message instructed me to pull over immediately before the vehicle would shut down. I brought the vehicle to a stop safely and it allowed me to turn off the engine at that point. I restarted it and parked it, and have not driven it since. On XXX I checked NHTSA's recall lookup tool using my VIN and both recall 26V-141 and 26V-262 still show as incomplete, despite the dealer's repair order stating both were completed during this same visit. This is the second serious control-related failure with this vehicle. On XXX the vehicle would not shut off and could not be shifted into any gear, requiring a tow to the same dealer for repair (RO #XXX). No crash or injury occurred in either incident. The engine shuts off unexpectedly when the automatic start stop system engages. At the same time the engine shuts off, the power steering warning light illuminates and steering assist is lost. The vehicle must be restarted to regain power steering and continue driving. This has occurred on multiple occasions, including while the vehicle was slowing to a stop in traffic. The sudden loss of steering assist while the vehicle is in motion presents an immediate safety risk to the driver, passengers, and surrounding traffic. This appears to be a widespread issue. Other 2024 Jeep Wagoneer owners have reported the same combination of symptoms, sudden stalling paired with power steering warning lights, in complaints already on file with NHTSA. Suspected causes reported by owners and dealers include a failing 12V or auxiliary battery, a Powertrain Control Module fault, and a Power Distribution Center or wiring fault.

The contact owns a 2024 Jeep Wagoneer S. The contact stated that while the vehicle was parked, the vehicle unexpectedly shifted to reverse(R) and rolled backwards unintendedly at approximately 10 MPH. The brake pedal was pumped several times to stop the vehicle. The contact stated that several unknown warning lights were illuminated, and the messages “Collision Protection OFF”, “Service ABS” and “Traction Control OFF” were displayed during the failure. The dealer was contacted; however, the vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 31,057.

Immediately after taking delivery of this brand-new 2024 Jeep Wagoneer L, a severe and violent mechanical vibration was detected while driving at highway speeds. When the vehicle reaches 70 mph and above, the steering wheel shakes aggressively in the driver's hands, and the entire vehicle chassis vibrates violently. This severe shaking impacts vehicle tracking, makes it difficult to maintain steady steering control at cruising speeds, and creates an immediate road safety hazard for the occupants and surrounding traffic. The vehicle is currently unsafe to operate at normal highway speeds.

I’ve had issues with the blind spot sensors. After driving a mile or two on open road, the warning pops up saying “Blind Spot sensors unavailable” then the lights on the mirror stay on. This was happening a few months ago so the right sensor was replaced. Now it’s happening again. In a vehicle that is two years old this shouldn’t be an issue.
