I was driving on the highway when the vehicle started to make clinking noises. The vehicle started to lose power as I accelerated it would feel like something was pulling me in the opposite direction and the knocking noise would get louder. Ultimately, I had the vehicle towed to a dealership. This vehicle passed the L87 recall not too long ago, and the vehicle is barely used.

While towing my fifth-wheel trailer, I was descending a hill (I had my tow/haul switch engaged) when I noticed an issue with my vehicle. Upon reaching the bottom of the hill and beginning to decelerate, when applying gas to continue up the hill the vehicle shuddered noticeably. A warning light briefly illuminated on the dashboard and then turned off shortly afterward. Although the warning light went away, the vehicle continued to exhibit a slight vibration, particularly between approximately 25 and 50 mph. I was able to drive the vehicle home safely and subsequently brought it to the dealership for inspection. The dealership performed a diagnostic scan and retrieved fault codes. Based on their findings, they have determined that the transmission requires replacement and are proceeding with that repair. They also found a different fluid in the transmission fluid, they skipped the testing and got permission to change out the transmission

This vehicles top portion of grill trim is starting to come loose, as this is a safety concern while on the highway, I had another vehicle that the trim flew off completely, (same year and model) while i was on the highway. This could hit another vehicle if this happens, or god forbid a person who happens to be on a sidewalk. I looked into this and found that there is a recall for the same issue on 2022 models that has not been extended to the 2024 model (Recall N242490120). This recall should be extended to the 2024 models as this is a huge safety concern.

The contact owns a 2024 GMC Sierra 1500. The contact stated that while driving approximately 65–70 MPH, the bumper air deflector, metal tabs, and screws detached and struck the front windshield. The vehicle was taken to the dealer, and the contact was informed that the repair was not covered under recall. The vehicle was not repaired. The contact referenced an unknown recall; however, the VIN was not associated with a recall related to the failure. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure, and a case was filed. Additionally, the contact was informed that the repair was not covered under warranty or recall. The failure mileage was approximately 40,000.

2024 GMC Sierra 1500 6.2 v8 had a full engine seizure while driving on the freeway. All prior recall actions had already been met (scoped and upgraded oil), within 60 days of dealership review the engine stopped working. Recall 25V-274 L87 Engine Loss of Propulsion. After a 5 hour event on the side of the road AAA towed the vehicle to the dealership where I was told it would be many months before this is returned. It took many weeks for GM to just review and approve any next service (engine needs). At this point I'm told there are 181 people also in line for an engine and they can't see where I might be in that line. So we wait.
