GENESIS GV70 2026 POWER TRAIN
highOn XXX while driving at approximately 5mph in a parking lot my Genesis GV70 shifted from Drive to Park by itself causing the car and my wife and I to lurch forward and come to a stop! The car would not come out of Park and a warning came up after the fact saying to contact immediate service. My wife and I were in the car and there were no injuries. If this occurred at a higher rate of speed on a busy highway I cannot imagine what would have happened. I immediately called Genesis Road Assistance for a tow. The car was towed by flat bed to the dealer in [XXX], where I purchased the car, approximately 10 miles away where it sits today waiting for service. My wife and I are afraid to drive this car ever again as it is brand new with only 250 miles on the odometer. *No warnings of any kind prior to the incident. GENESIS GV70 2026 SEATS
lowwhile driving the vehicle, the driver's seat moves to the furthest position, away from the steering wheel and pedals. The memory position or forward/back control does not work consistently to put the seat in a more comfortable seating position. This is a random occurrence that can happen several times a day everyday or once or twice every other month. It is unsafe during taking off from a light, as the seat moves back I can barely reach the accelerator. During braking, it's harder to apply pressure to the brake pedal. Also, my mirrors are harder to use because of the different seat position. I have an appointment coming up but it will have been well over a month since I told the service department. I have some video of the controls not working after the seat has moved back, but it is harder to get video while the seat is moving back and I'm driving. This has been an issue since SEP 2025 or so, but it has been happening a lot more recently this past month
GENESIS GV70 2026 UNKNOWN OR OTHER
low2026 GV70, rattle onset at exactly 50 mph. Aero-induced (not road-surface dependent) Local dealer service department confirmed the same rattle on two other 2026 GV70s on the lot.
GENESIS GV70 2026 ELECTRICAL SYSTEM
lowWhen stopped at a stoplight with my foot on the brake and the transmission in drive (D), after 15-30 seconds, the transmission shifts into park and the engine starts. (the autostart was in the default position). This has occurred repeatedly. The the autostart button is pressed and the light is on, the transmission reacts normally. I have a video but it is larger than 10MB
GENESIS GV70 2026 UNKNOWN OR OTHER
mediumWithout any warning, on March 15, 2026, I turned out of a parking lot onto a major road and I noticed it wouldn't accelerate above 20 mph, so I pulled off the road. I tried again and my vehicle still failed to accelerate. And on my third attempt, my vehicle decelerated and was about to completely stall. I managed to turn into a parking lot and avoid getting rear ended. However, this could have been a fatal event. While I was trying to accelerate, the vehicle was quiet as if the car wasn't even running. After shutting the engine off for awhile, I was able to drive the vehicle with caution. I reached out to two Genesis service departments regarding my vehicle failing to accelerate while driving and neither had heard any previous complaints, and the earliest appointment would be mid April. There was no sense of urgency, as I'm left to hesitantly drive my vehicle at the risk of it happening again and getting rear ended. And when my vehicle does go in for service, I'm weary whether the problem will be resolved properly since the service department is unaware of the issue. In addition, I have had this vehicle for only 4 months and 1 month into it, I already took it to service because of fuel odor that had not gone away since the day 1. But the service department didn't find anything wrong with the vehicle, so nothing was done to it. I also swung by another Genesis service department, in case they happened to be familiar with the cause of the odor. My vehicle still has the fuel odor and now I'm wondering if that is related to my vehicle not accelerating. I am seeking your assistance to ensure that the problems with my vehicle are confidently resolved. And I wouldn't want this to happen to anyone else. I am thankful, I was driving and not my teen.
