The contact stated that the moon roof curtain was closed, which prevented the shattered glass from entering the interior of the vehicle. The vehicle was taken to the dealer. The contact was informed that the failure was due to the impact of an object. The contact was informed that the moon roof needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The contact was informed that a buyback of the vehicle was an option. The failure mileage was approximately 4,000.
