The brick wall was damaged. The air bags did not deploy. The contact stated that upon shifting to reverse while depressing the brake pedal, the vehicle accelerated unintendedly onto the road. The contact continuously depressed the brake pedal and the vehicle stopped in the middle of the road. The contact turned off the vehicle for a moment. The contact then restarted the vehicle and was able to safely pull to the side of the road. The contact stated that the regenerative braking mode was engaged at the time the incident occurred. The contact stated that there was a passenger in the front passenger's side seat at the time the incident occurred. The contact stated that the mason who provided an estimate of the brick wall damage and repair stated that the brick wall was severely damaged as if the vehicle that crashed into it was going at a high rate of speed.
