BMW M440I 2025 STEERING:LINKAGES:TIE ROD ASSEMBLY
mediumThe contact owns a 2025 BMW M440I. The contact stated that on several occasions while driving at speeds under 20 MPH, there was an abnormal clunking sound coming from the steering column. The vehicle was taken to the dealer where it was determined that the tie rod assemblies needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired due to parts not being available. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 3,500.
