The world of premium diecast collectibles is buzzing with excitement as September 2026 ushers in a wave of new and highly anticipated models. While details are still emerging, a substantial collection of approximately 30 new releases is set to hit the market, offering something for every automotive enthusiast. This month’s lineup features a diverse range of vehicles, from exotic hypercars to iconic off-roaders and popular tuner cars, promising to satisfy both casual collectors and dedicated fans.
Among the standout releases are several highly sought-after models from Inno64. While the author admits to not having closely followed the brand recently, a past experience with an impressive Inno64 RX-7 (FD3S) LB-Super Silhouette in Coca Cola Zero livery suggests the quality remains high. Despite a slightly higher price point and potentially less availability compared to competitors like Tarmac Works or Pop Race, Inno64 continues to push boundaries. A notable example is their new Mad Mike P1 GTR-X Drift Car, which appears to be a world-first casting. This model follows previous iterations of Mad Mike’s creations, which have consistently generated significant collector interest.
The collection also includes intriguing variations of popular castings. The Pandem E30, previously seen with a two-tone finish, is making a comeback, sparking curiosity about how it will compare to the Kaido House version. Another intriguing release is a GR Supra, inspired by drift driver Valentina Piaz, though its livery might not appeal to all. For those interested in JDM influences, a Lamborghini Huracan featuring a Kato-san bodykit is set to impress, available in a striking Lime Metallic finish and offered in both left-hand drive (LHD) and right-hand drive (RHD) configurations.
Mini GT continues its prolific output with several compelling additions. A Land Rover Defender 110 is slated to pay homage to the 1998 Camel Trophy in Tierra del Fuego, adding a rugged, adventurous theme to the collection. The brand also introduces a brand-new tooling for the 1959 Cadillac Eldorado Biarritz, a classic convertible that will only be available in LHD. This release encourages a deeper dive into the automotive designs of that era, especially for collectors who might not have many vintage convertibles in their display.
Tarmac Works is also presenting some of the month’s most attention-grabbing models, with the Koenigsegg One:1 and a Liberty Walk Mitsubishi Fuso being particularly prominent. The latter is a notable offering, especially considering the difficulty many collectors had in acquiring Mattel’s 2023 Team Transport version, the “Flipsider Hauler.” The Tarmac Works Fuso is expected to offer superior detail and a more accessible price point. Other Tarmac Works highlights include the Pagani Imola in Matt Silver and an RWB 964 Coca-Cola, part of the premium Hobby64 collection. Further expanding the Porsche offerings, a 1/43rd scale 911 GT3 R and a 911 Carrera RS (964), co-developed with Schuco, are also available. Collectors looking to add more Hobby64 cars can also consider the Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG GT3 and the Honda Civic TYPE R FK8.
Looking ahead, a significant pre-order window opens for eight additional models, with deliveries not expected until March 2027. This future selection includes a Mercedes-AMG GT3, notable for Tarmac Works reportedly holding exclusive production rights for the car driven by Gotz, Juncadella, and Ojeda at the 2024 Bathurst 12H. Collectors will also find a Porsche 911 GT3 R from the 2025 Suzuka 1000km, though a Falken-themed release for the IDE show might be a more exclusive target. Other pre-order items include the Bentley Continental GT3, alongside highly anticipated Datsun Bluebird SSS and LB-Kaido Works Nissan R32 Skyline models, with the latter available in a taxi livery that promises exquisite detail without the higher cost of opening parts seen in some other releases.
