Ducati is rolling out its 2027 Multistrada V4 Pikes Peak, and while the core of this high-performance crossover remains the same, it’s sporting a fresh, race-bred aesthetic. This latest iteration continues the legacy of the Multistrada concept, which first appeared nearly two decades ago, and builds upon the 2021 redesign.
The most striking update for 2027 is a brand-new livery. Conceived by Centro Stile Ducati and Drudi Performance, this paint scheme pays homage to the vibrant colors adorning Ducati’s current MotoGP and Superbike World Championship (WorldSBK) machines. It’s a clear nod to the brand’s racing pedigree, injecting a dose of track-inspired flair onto the road-going adventure bike.
Beneath the new skin, the Multistrada V4 Pikes Peak retains its robust foundation. The chassis is a sophisticated blend of an aluminum monocoque frame, a steel tube subframe, and an aluminum single-sided swingarm, testament to Ducati’s engineering prowess. This proven architecture continues to be the backbone of the bike, ensuring agility and stability.
Contact with the asphalt is managed by Pirelli Diablo Rosso IV sports-touring tires, fitted to 17-inch forged aluminum five-spoke wheels. Complementing this setup is a long-travel Öhlins sports suspension system. The suspension’s behavior is engineered to mirror the performance found on the more track-focused Panigale V4 S and Streetfighter V4 S, offering riders a truly dynamic experience.
Powering the Multistrada V4 Pikes Peak is the formidable 1,158cc V4 Granturismo engine. This powerhouse continues to churn out an impressive 170 horsepower at 10,750 rpm, with a substantial 124 Nm of torque available at 9,000 rpm. For 2027, the engine benefits from a new race map. This map introduces a racing-style strategy for the rev limiter, engaging more gradually than on the standard Multistrada V4. A quickshifter also comes standard, further enhancing the rider’s control and engagement.
The bike’s auditory signature is managed by a street-legal titanium Akrapovič silencer, while stopping power is provided by top-tier Brembo braking hardware. Riders can tailor the machine’s behavior to their preferences through four distinct power modes and five riding modes: Race, Sport, Touring, Urban, and Wet. This versatility ensures the Multistrada V4 Pikes Peak is equally at home on a winding mountain pass or navigating city streets.
Visually, the bike retains its aggressive stance with protective bodywork in key areas and a low, smoked windscreen. Gold anodizing on the fork sliders adds a premium touch, while the V4 logo is prominently displayed on the seat and the Ducati Corse badge adorns the beak, reinforcing its racing lineage.
The 2027 Ducati Multistrada V4 Pikes Peak is available for order at European dealerships and has also appeared on the American configurator. Pricing starts around $34,000, though Ducati suggests this is just the beginning, with a vast array of customization options available, including carbon fiber components and various color choices to truly personalize the machine.
