LEGO has just announced its latest addition to the coveted Ultimate Collector Series (UCS) line, and it’s a behemoth. The LEGO Star Wars Executor Super Star Destroyer (set number 75457) has officially claimed the title of the longest LEGO Star Wars set ever produced. This colossal model is constructed from an astounding 6,130 pieces, resulting in a build that measures a substantial 7.5 inches (20 cm) in height and 20 inches (50 cm) in width. When fully assembled, this impressive starship tips the scales at over 11 pounds (five kg).

In the Star Wars saga, the Executor is renowned as the most formidable starship ever fielded by the Galactic Empire. LEGO has clearly taken this legacy to heart, meticulously crafting this set to capture its imposing presence. To ensure the structural integrity of such a lengthy model, LEGO has engineered an innovative internal core. This core utilizes LEGO Technic elements as outriggers, providing robust support for the exterior panels without compromising the sleek aesthetic of the design. The development of this set also saw the creation of new LEGO elements, including a specially decorated tile that appears no less than 60 times. These unique tiles are instrumental in recreating the subtle hull lights and intricate central detailing of the Executor.

While not a play-focused set, the Executor Super Star Destroyer is designed for display. It comes complete with a built-in stand to showcase its grandeur. Adding to the display value, the set includes a smaller, scale-accurate companion Star Destroyer and a detailed replica of the Executor’s bridge. To further emphasize the sheer scale of the Executor within the Star Wars universe, LEGO has included a minuscule Millennium Falcon. This iconic ship is presented on a 1×1 round tile, serving as a crucial visual reference to the gargantuan size of the main build.

The set is packed with fan-favorite characters, featuring seven minifigures. Leading the charge is Darth Vader himself. He is joined by an impressive roster of six bounty hunters: Boba Fett, Dengar, Bossk, IG-88, 4-LOM, and Zuckuss. This collection marks the first time these six bounty hunters have been released together in a single LEGO set, a significant draw for collectors.

The LEGO Star Wars Executor Super Star Destroyer (75457) is slated for release on October 1st, and is designated for adult builders. The premium set comes with a price tag of $799.99. However, early birds who purchase the set during the first week of September will receive a special bonus: a free, separately unavailable LEGO Darth Vader’s Lightsaber (40897) set.
